The Project Board comprises three roles which together provides the decision making body for the project, and which delegates the day-to-day running of stages of the project to a project manager. The roles on the board are:
The Executive
The 'owner' of the business case for the project and the final decsion maker on the board (it's not a democracy!). The executive is accountable to the business for the success of the project. The Executive is supported by the Senior User and the Senior Supplier.
The Senior User
The Senior User is responsible for specification of the user requirement, for user liason with the project team and for ensuring that the final product will meet the needs of the users within the constraints of the business case.
The Senior Supplier
The Senior Supplier represents the interests of those who are producing the products meeting the business case, and is accountable for the quality of the deliverables.
